In a National Multifamily Housing Council, which was conducted from March 5-19, 2024 has published its results from 48 responses from leading multifamily construction and development firms.
81% of respondents reported construction delays over the last three months, down from 90% in June
74% claimed economic feasibility as a cause for delays in construction starts, up from 71% for last quarter
68% claimed availability of construction loans as the driving factor (down from 79% last quarter), while 62% cited economic uncertainty
